Properties:
Juniper is a small tree with needle-like leaves and berries that are at first blue in appearance and colour but turn to black after when they are ripe. The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the berries.

The essential oil is very fluid and can vary in colour from colourless to yellowy or pale green. The odour has a similar scent to that of turpentine but its characteristics change and it is pleasant when used in blends, to which it adds a characteristic smoky note.

Main Uses:
Juniperberry essential oil in aromatherapy is mainly used for detoxing. This oil has been used in skincare for lotions and creams that ease cellulite. Juniperberry is also considered a great oil for soothing and uplifting your senses when you are undergoing detox or have cold and flu, anxiety, tension and stress. It is also used as an aphrodisiac essential oil that might help in case of loss of libido. ​

Frankincense, cedarwood, geranium, grapefruit, cypress, lavender, lavandin, bergamot, lime, vetiver, lemongrass and clary sage
