Description

Properties:
The Bergomot tree originates from a city called Bergamo in Italy and due to it being first cultivated in Italy it was given this name. It was traditionally used in Italian folk medicine. It is known to be commercially grown on the Ivory coast. The tree itself is small with circular fruits that have a similar appearance to that of other well known citrus fruits with a very potent citrus-like aroma. The essential oil is extracted from the peel and is extracted through steam distillation or sometimes expression, it is a very clear to pale yellow colour in appearance and has a sweet and citrusy fragrance.

Main Uses:
The known benefits of the use of this citrus-like essential oil in aromatherapy and vaporisor treatments are; stimulating, boosting confidence. known to be able to help with oily or irritated skin in skincare and should be used in moderation and when out of the harmful rays of the sun. When used in the bath a mximum of 3 drops should be used. It is highly recommended that only FC-Free bergamot oil be used for aromatherapy.

chamomile, citronella, palmarosa, ylang ylang

100% Bergamot Oil

INCI: Citrus Aurantium Bergamia

Main Constituents:
a-pinene, limionene, a-bergaptene, myrcene, linalool. linalyl acetate, b-bisabolene, nerol, geraniol acetate, a-pinene, a-terpineol and myrcene.

Indications:
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Note: For external use only. Do not ingest.
Caution should be used if using on the skin, it should not be then followed by exposure to the sun once applied as photo-sensitivity can occur.
