Description

Properties:
The essential oil is extracted through the process of steam distillation using the blossom flowers, of which it takes a vast amount of the blossoms to produce a small quantity of oil. It is a floral scent with a slight bitterness but also sweet characteristics to its aroma and it is a pale clear to yellow colour in appearance. The name is thought to have originated from an Italian princess who once used the oil as a perfume to bath water and for scenting her gloves and clothing. It is still a key ingredient in many perfumes being produced today.

Main Uses:
It is known to be one of the more popular oils due to it being considered helpful for helping to relax the body and mind, and can help rejuvenate scarred tissue or stretch marks. In massage or when used as a few drops added to a bath, it is thought to be helpful in treatment of nervous tension, depression, anxiety and fatigue. When used in aromatherapy and vaporisor treatments, it is thought to be beneficial in treatment of nervousness, anxiety and stress.

It is often found as an ingredient in many creams, lotions and balms as it is known to be beneficial in helping reduce scar marks, stretch marks and regeneration of the skin.

a-pinene, b-pinene, a-terpinene, nerol, neryl acetate, geraniol, linalool and indole

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
