Description

Properties
St John’s Wort carrier oil is produced by macerating the buds and flowers of the hypericum perforatum plant in sunflower oil. The buds and flowers are left to macerate for a number of weeks and are occasionally agitated to encourage the soluble active constituents to transfer into the oil. The finished macerate is normally a bright to dark red mobile liquid at room temperature and is said to offer anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

Main Uses
Macerated St. John’s Wort oil is an effective soothing massage oil which can either be used on its own, as part of a base oil blend or blended with essential oils. St. John’s Wort is a popular ingredient for massage preparations intended to soothe and relieve inflammation.

Ingredient:
St Johns Wort infused in sunflower oil. (1:5 Macerated)

INCI: Hypericum perforatum oil & helianthus annuus seed oil

Main constituents:
Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin D, Vitamin B6 and linoleic acid.

Please note that although St. Johns Wort is widely recognised for its antidepressant qualities when taken internally, this is a carrier oil intended for external use only.
