Description

Properties:
The essential oil is extracted through the process of steam distillation using the seeds. It has a fruity, lemony aroma and is a clear to pale yellow colour in appearance. It has been used in perfume as an additional fragrance as well as being used in potpourri.

Main Uses:
Due to its antifungal properties and benefits it is often found in soaps and lotions particularly suited to skin types that are prone to eczema, psoriasis, acne and other skin conditions and it is considered beneficial in helping treat these aforementioned conditions.

A few drops can be added to candles or lotion to provide an insect repellent. When used in aromatherapy or vaporiser treatments, it is thought to lift the spirits and mood, so can be beneficial in treatment of anxiety, fatigue and restlessness.

It can be used in an oil burner mixed with a few drops of mandarin essential oil to create a natural and uplifting room freshener.

In massage it is beneficial in the treatment of chest conditions like bronchitis, colds and flu, asthma and helps in opening up the bronchial passages, easing breathing difficulty and clearing congestion.

Basil, geranium, ginger, jasmine, rose,rosemary, rosewood and ylang ylang

Citral, limonene, myrcene, linalool and linlyl acetate

Indications:
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
