The essential oil is extracted through the process of steam distillation of the dried leaves. It is strong in aroma with a spicy scent.
Main Uses:
Oregano essential oil reportedly has for its anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antiviral and antibcterial properties. When used in massage, this oil is thought to help relieve muscular and joints pain and to help fight infections and fungus. This oil can also be vaporised to help ease headaches and symptoms of colds and coughs. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, it is also used in skincare to prevent free radicals and help the skin appear younger.
